Their Weaponry

Well it also stands to sense that very little is known about the Talangaurd’s body amor or weapons either, which is to be expected considering no one has seen or heard of a Talanguard for nearly three thousand years. This is largely due to the extended long life span that Surillian’s have, estimated around 150 to 200 years as it is measured in your human terms.

Of course during this time many a great house and their rulers have come and gone, although the current generation Roshan family is supposed to bare the most direct lineage to our Surillian ancestors. Although this too can not be verified for a hundred percent certain. However thanks to the Empress and her new reforms, much of this type of lost information can be sourced from what’s left of the royal archives. It has only been through this level of new-found co-operation, that we have been able to extrapolate some kind of approximation of what a Talanguard was said to have been. Here we will begin to examine in further detail, what we have since been able to learn about their weapons and technologies.

Talanguard Weapons Technologies Overview

The Materials: Judging by the dates on some of the archive records, it is reasonable to assume that items such as the exoskeleton armor, helmet and gauntlets were made using Talinium. As this was the most sought after and commonly used ore during this time. Where as items such as the nano body suit, boots, weapons and blades etc, were from what we can make out of the ancient text, is some sort of synthetic material extracts named Lycerium and Lycerilene respectively. Although any methods the ancestors might have actually used to create them remains unclear.

The Pulse Lance: What it would seem for definite is that they used some type of advanced pulse-lance, it could apparently shoot quick control bursts of bio-engineered illuminated charge. How this was achieved is also unclear, although one thing is most certainly true, is that they were more advanced than what we are today. Our level of technologies seem to pale in comparison.

Starburst Gauntlets: The exact usage of what these were for are also not known, some theories say they had some significant purpose other than protecting the person. One such theory is that they were able cross star systems remotely by activating a portal through one of the gauntlets, without having the benefit of having actually seeing one of these things, that seems impossible to clarify.

Another popular theory and i must confess that it is also my favorite, that these gauntlets actually possessed the power to shoot higher concentrated energy similarly to that of the pulse-lance. One can only imagine the awesome destructive power that they could very well have possibly wielded, while there still are others whom have suggested that it is possibly both, due to their beliefs that this would be the only possible reason for ancestors archived records, showing DNA coding the gauntlets to that of the user. This too is not something we can be clear on as most of the ancient text is now unreadable.

Visual Sensory Helmut: The VSH as it shall be referred too from here on in, is also something else of a mystery. The archive records indicate some sort of experimentation with extra sensory perception technologies, which would make sense as there is no indication that there was any kind of visor to see through in the Helmut design. At least this is what it looks like from the half burned schematics, however it does give you a rough indication of what it would to have actually done. It could quite possibly be any number of things such as thermal vision, sonic or sound wave detection, signal communications and a digital visual display just to name a few.

The Conclusion

Of course this is all going on our current understanding of the technology, we are certainly not claiming to fully understand our ancient texts either as much of this long since dead language barely exists anymore. Although from what we have been able to uncover, this much remains true. For all the power, might and wealth of knowledge the ancestors had, we find it very hard to believe that none of their technology ever survived the war. Either it has been all scavenged and dismantled deliberately or someone is taking great care in hiding it, however the question of just whom is responsible still begs to be asked?
