This is just a small sampling of some of my sketch art and although I don’t really consider myself much of a sketch artist, these will at least give you a little indication into the thought and design process behind my work.
The first two sketches were the basic concept designs for my characters in my short film “Epsilon Rising“, while the rest are just some random sketches showing my experimentation with shading.

As with the other images, the storyboard below contains some pencil shading, however the difference here being, that I used mostly a lot of smudging techniques using a soft cloth or my thumb. This enabled me to gain a much smoother and a nicer blend of color gradients over the larger space of the paper. Then I just added more pencil to enhance lines and features as needed.
