Recently I shot a commercial for the Doritos Australia “You make it, we play it” Competition. The aim being, to make something creative and hopefully somewhat original. So we all sat down and talked about some of our ideas, only later I felt that I needed to push the boundaries a little more. I then decided to make the Ad more humorous rather than just the usual standard. I came up with the idea to make an homage to all those great Aussie Adventurers.
That being said, we all had a lot of fun making this video. It also provided me a great opportunity to test drive my new canon video camera. So after putting my cam through its paces, I have to say that I am really happy with the way it all turned out. So much so that I went and cut another three version of the Ad, just for the hell of it. This was due to there being so many great shots taken on the day, that I felt that they were just too good to pass up. Anyways once I had my videos edited, I then watched them all with a test audience of some friends & family. To basically see which one got the most reactions. It was unanimously decided that this version (see video below) was the best choice for my final submission.
